夏休みに、プライベートで大阪を訪れた。この日は“京セラドーム”でスポーツ観戦の後、ホテル最寄りの“森ノ宮駅”まで帰ってきた。遅い時間とあって、開いている店はあまり多くない。駅すぐのビル３階に入る居酒屋を覗くと、ラストオーダー40分前とのこと。そそくさとカウンター席に座り、「生ビール」528円で乾杯する。小上がりの窓からは、美しくライトアップされた“大阪城”が望める。
肴は“おでん注文シート”で「牛すじ串」231円・「大根」132円、夏限定メニューから「鱧のおでん」715円をオーダーした。特製の“瓢箪鍋”で煮込んでいるという自慢のおでんは、どれも上品な出汁が染みてまさに“大阪の味”である。とろろ昆布がトッピングされた「大根」はほろほろとやわらかく、「牛すじ」はとろりと口溶けしそうである。「鱧」もふわりとやわらかく、旬の旨みを存分に楽しんだ。途中から芋焼酎「大隅」439円をロックで飲み継ぎ、いつしか大阪の夜は更けていった。
