ちょっと一杯引っ掛けに、宿泊したホテル横の串カツ屋に伺った。24時を回っていたが、地元のお客さんが数組入っている。お店のお兄さんに生ビールと串カツ(お勧め6本)と土手焼きをお願いした。
すぐにビールと土手焼きを持って来てくれた。甘口の白っぽい味噌の煮込みで、トロッとしたつゆに柔らかい牛すじがゴロゴロと、こんにゃくが少し入っている。後からちょっとかつおっぽい香りがする。トッピングのネギの青臭さが味噌と牛すじにとても合う。ビールが一気に加速する味だ。
串カツはソース二度付け禁止だとばっかし思っていたが、客専用の器にソースを入れて持って来てくれた。サラッとしたものと辛くてトロッとしたソース二種類あり。
牛、ウインナー、エビ、玉子、れんこん、チーズの六種。どれも美味いが牛とエビ、玉子が印象的だった。牛は衣がサクっと軽い質感だが、中の身ががっちりと固めで以外な食感だ。エビは水分が適度に抜けた感じで、かなり身の質感があるが、パサついた感じはない。玉子は逆に黄身がしっとり柔らかいのがまた美味しかった。
一人でも入りやすいので、出張者の方にも良いかと思われる。隣のホテルに泊まっている方で、お店に迷ったらこちらで間違いなし。
