I had some business in Tennoji, so I wanted to eat something delicious in a calm place, so I decided to eat eel! This restaurant is on the 16th floor of Abeno Lucias. It's a little hard to find, but Sushi Sawata, Yakiniku Yakiniku (Grilled meat) Steak, and Night View & Craft Beer Soten are all on the same floor, so I called out to the entrance and was guided there. This restaurant is a private room, so you can dine in a very calm atmosphere. First, we toast with oolong tea! I didn't drink this time because I had plans after this, but there were many types of alcohol, including beer cocktails, shochu, and sake, so it might be nice to enjoy eel and sake instead of a course. Since I was there, I ordered the Unagi Hitsumabushi course. The first thing that appeared was an assortment of appetizers, which looked beautiful and excited me. It included uzaku, sea bream kombu-jime, eel shinjo, duck loin, whelk with zunda paste, and dried persimmon butter. I was also happy that they had appetizers other than eel. Next came umaki, kabayaki eel, and shirayaki eel. Starting with uzaku, various styles of eel were served, giving a luxurious feeling. Finally, the long-awaited hitsumabushi appeared! The eel seems to be domestically produced, and when I asked where it was produced, I was told it was from Kumamoto. I thought this was unaju style, but it turns out that hitsumabushi is a dish where kabayaki eel fillets are placed on top of rice in a rice bowl, and the eater then takes it into a bowl or something similar. The eel sauce was sweet and had a good amount of fat, so from the second bowl onwards, I ate it lightly with the accompanying dashi stock and condiments such as wasabi. Red dashi stock was also included. Finally, I had vanilla ice cream for dessert, and went home full from this hearty course!
