期間限定で石餅が今日はあります
松尾芭蕉の唄にも詠まれてまして
との店員のお声がけで買わなきゃと。
石山寺の名物だそうです。
福徳や縁結びの神様として広く知られる石山寺。
明治中頃まで、その岩を模した石餅があったそうです。
身体を清め力が宿り、石のように固い絆が結ばれるようにと祈念して食した石餅を復元したそうです。
生命力の源である２つのお餅の上に、石山寺の象徴である岩に見立てた小豆餡を乗せているそうです。
ちょっと硬めのお餅で餡が優しい甘さで美味しかったです。
