オープン間もない頃から、お邪魔しています。
ご近所ではないし、予約も取りにくい。
でも、そんなことは些末なこと。
ここに来ると満たされて帰れる、
日々の生活に欠かせない場所、
私たちにとって、そういうお店で
あり続けてくれることが、
いちばん大事なこと。
そのときどき、体調が優れなかったり、
出張で泣く泣くキャンセルしたり、
長年の間、そんなことも多々ありました。
でも、変わらずおいしい食事を出して
笑顔にしてくれるお店です。
いわゆる、薬膳やマクロビではないけれど、
いきものからいのちをいただいて
日々生かされているなぁ、と
頭で考えさせられるのではなく、
シチリア料理を通して感じます。
メニューは以前よりもずーっと、
素朴な味のお皿が増えました。
より、素材の鮮度と食感と季節感を感じる
ようなメニュー、仕上げになりました。
例えていうなら、
以前は、旅人が味わう、郷土の名物料理。
今は、シチリアの親戚が振舞ってくれる
地元の方が懐かしむ味。
どちらも素晴らしいですが、
いまの方が好きだなあ。
