We recommend dishes made with ingredients from Saga Prefecture, as well as Italian Cuisine and Spanish dishes!
We mainly recommend dishes using ingredients from Saga Prefecture, as well as Italian Cuisine and Spanish dishes. |
On this day, I was on a business trip to Saga and stayed overnight in Saga for the first time in a while. For dinner, I enjoyed a delicious fish dish at [a:41003333, Meisuisan] near Saga Station with my colleagues, and then went straight back to the hotel. The hotel I was staying at was far from the station and was in a quiet area with few shops nearby. After resting at the hotel for a while, I started getting hungry so I went out to get something to eat. However, there are few restaurants around the hotel and none of them are open (>_<) I had no choice but to walk around and found a small Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that was open! I looked up the restaurant on Tabelog, but there was only one review (>_<) Still, it was the only one open near my hotel, so I decided to go in. When I entered the store, I was surprised (@_@) Immediately after entering, there was a small tatami room to the right, and a large man had stretched out his legs to the entrance and was fast asleep, spread out. Since the person was alone, he was probably left behind by his companion (>_<) I ignored him and sat down at the counter. The restaurant is small with 7 seats at the counter and 1 table for 4 people in the tatami room. The kitchen felt spacious considering the size of the restaurant. There were two customers: a middle-aged woman and a man who was fast asleep. There were two male store clerks who looked young. Then I sat down at the counter and looked at the drink menu.I saw that the sweet potato shochu was cheap at ¥300, so I ordered it with water. Then check out the food menu. Looking at the food menu, you'll find a surprising variety of dishes, including Grilled skewer of Mitsuse chicken, a specialty of Saga Prefecture, fish Fried food, fried foods, salads, and dashimaki eggs, as well as oden and rice dishes. The menu is surprisingly diverse, and the prices are reasonable. did. Mitsuse chicken is still not well known in Osaka, but I have eaten it several times when I worked in Tokyo and Nagoya. [b: Mitsuse chicken is a recently popular brand of chicken from Saga Prefecture, known for its deep flavor and elastic meat. ] First of all, I will order 5 Mitsuse chicken Grilled skewer and 3 pieces of sashimi [b:⚫︎Potato shochu with water ¥300 ⚫︎Hiyayakko (seating fee) ¥300 (Mitsuse chicken Grilled skewer ¥1,050) Momomune [b: (3-piece sashimi platter ¥1,050) amberjack, squid, chicken dish] Mitsuse chicken Grilled skewer are all juicy and have a deep flavor unique to Mitsuse chicken. It was chewy and quite delicious. I never thought I'd be able to eat Mitsuse chicken at such a small Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), so I'm lucky. The sashimi was also surprisingly good and I was satisfied. After this, I ordered an additional three-piece oden platter. [b:⚫︎3-piece oden platter ¥360 radish, egg, beef tendon] The oden was delicious with a slightly sweet soup soaking through it well. The beef tendon was apparently Saga beef, so it was very creamy. All of the dishes I ate this time were reasonably priced and delicious. [b:Also, the total bill this time, including two glasses of sweet potato shochu, was about ¥3,300, which was reasonable. ] The restaurant cannot be called clean, but the food is delicious and the cost performance is good. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, so I felt comfortable even when I was alone. I would like to visit you again the next time I stay at this hotel on my next business trip to Saga. Thank you for the meal (*^^*)
