佐賀市の今泉です。
佐賀市の白山商店街に遅くまで開いてる、飲み屋周辺としてはありがたいうどん屋さんです。日曜日の夜に行きましたが、あれ？開いてましたね。前は佐嘉神社近くに本店、こちらが支店みたいな感じでしたが、今はこちらだけが残っています。
こちらのうどんと言えば珍しい細麺のうどんがあるのですが、今回はオーソドックスなうどんを。佐賀らしいうどんにしときました。
えび天カレーうどん【800円】です。昔来てた頃はよくカレーうどん食べてたなあと思い出してこれにしときました。先に言うと全体的に味は普通のカレーうどんです。
ただこの佐賀らしいうどんの特徴として、麺がふにゃふにゃなんです。福岡とかの牧のうどんとかともまた違ったふにゃふにゃ。ちょっと大げさに言えば豆腐のような感じです。
そしてこのカレーうどん、尋常じゃない程熱いんです。カレーうどんに限らず全部熱かった筈で、鍋焼うどんもあるのですがあんまり違いがなかったような気がします。なので、ふにゃふにゃのうどんにもその熱さが存分に伝わり、食べ終わるまで熱い状態のままなんです。えび天の衣も熱さで剥がれてしまい(熱さで剥がれるていう事はないでしょうが)、尚且つ衣まで熱いです。
マジマジと食べて見ると結構完成度が高いカレーうどんですね。カレーの切れ味鋭く、おつゆに入り交じった牛の細切れが旨みを充分に出しています。それでいてあまり重たくない感じなんで、飲んだ後でもあっさり食べれます。
というか飲んだ後の〆として代表格のようなうどんですね、佐賀では昔から。
