唐津からバスで初めての呼子へ。土曜日10時前の朝市は道沿いに個人の露店が並んでいました。
その朝市通りから大通りに外れたところにあるこのお店。呼子名物のお土産らしい、イカしゅうまいで有名なお店だそうです。
赤い看板と庇がひときわ目立つ外観。表ではイカを干すための「イカぐるぐる」がグルグルしています。その横には窓口があり、食べ歩き用の品が売られています。
店内のGReeeeNのBGMが漏れる窓口で名物らしいイカしゅうまいの小丸4個入り（税込\300）をいただくことにしました。
そっけない感じの店員さんが無駄のない接客で手渡していただけました。
この日は真夏日。街中で日陰を探していただくことにしました。
いただくと、練り物の味わいと風味が強いですね。かなり淡白です。
その中にわずかにイカのコリコリとした食感がありました。
名物のお土産と聞いてインパクトがあるのかなと思っていたのですが、実際にはかなり淡白な味だったのは想定外でした。
呼子にあるイカしゅうまいの有名店。インパクトのある商品を求めて入った自分には、接客も含めて妙に物足りなさを感じてしまいました。
