It's been a long time since we've had a gathering together for a New Year's party. It's been a long time since I've had a kaiseki meal at a hotel. When it comes to hotel Kaiseki in Omiya, a local city, there is only one option: Palace Hotel Omiya. This time, we will have fun praying for the new year with friends. Today's menu is ``Ehime Kaiseki'' for some reason even though I am in Omiya, Saitama Prefecture. Looking at the menu, you will find dishes from Shikoku such as ``Jakoten'' and ``Uwajima Tai Meshi.'' As expected, first class? Perhaps it's a hotel, but the waitstaff's timing and voice are wonderful. Due to the efficiency of the waitstaff, the restaurant opened on time. It's been a while since I've had a hotel kaiseki meal, and I think it was delicious.

本日のディナーは、大宮西口「欅」です。
今日は、ちょっとした会合があり、その後の食事会利用だ。
コチラで頂くコース料理は、官費負担のため金額が伺い知れないが、恐らく
10,000円以上だとそこそこ堪能できる。
ケチって8,000円なんかにしてしまうと、厨房でのヤリクリ感がお皿にモロに出てしまい貧素なコースになってしまう。
今日は、”愛媛会席”だ。
先ずは、先付三種。
”ふくめん・空豆塩茹で・ひらおうぎ貝”だ。
ふくめんは、宇和島の郷土料理である。
黒い細切り蒟蒻にカラフルなトッピングをした宇和島市特産料理だ。
余りに量が少なくて味は、伺い知れなかった。
お造りは、”赤身・鯛・ヒラメ”までは把握したが、後は忘れた。
どれも美味しかったが、ホテルが提供する見映え重視の一品かな。
一人鍋は、”愛媛鰤しゃぶ”だ。
愛媛と言えば宇和島の鯛めしだが、〆が鯛めしなので敢えて鰤なのだろうか?
確かに、愛媛県の鰤養殖は、生産量トップクラスだ。
焼き物は、”国産牛低温焼き もろみ”だ。
柔らかく焼かれたステーキは、いつも美味しいな。
油物は、”じゃこ天麩羅”である。
野菜から魚など多種多様な素材を天麩羅で揚げる。
サクサクと美味也。
コース料理最後のお食事は、”宇和島鯛めし”と”赤味噌汁”だ。
鯛刺しにウズラの生たまごが入ったごはんに出汁を回しかけ完成だ。
美味いに決まっている。
サラサラと鯛めしを流し込むとデザートの”みかんゼリー”が出てきた。
さすが、四国だ。
最後は、みかんゼリーで終了。
なんだか、四国を堪能したな。
8,800円のフェアコースだったためボリュームはイマイチだったが、味は、愛媛を愛でながら味わう事が出来た。
