【2023年2月11日初訪問】
南与野駅改札を左へと出たら、ロータリーを右から抜けた先にある十字路で右折。「南与野駅入口」交差点を左折し「埼大通り」をしばらく進んで行くと、やがて左手にあるお店。
元々はカレーを色々と食べたくて始めたこちらの百名店巡りでしたが、括りが「アジア・エスニック」という事で、今迄は食べようという発想すら湧かなかったお店を目にして気になる様になってしまいました。その内の１店舗がこちら。そもそも「ウイグル」という名称を料理で聞く事は無いし…。
到着したのは土曜日の午後２時から５分程前というタイミング。店内には女性２人１組がいるのみでした。ラストオーダー迄30分程という事もあってか、６人掛けのテーブル席へと通して貰えました。早速メニューに目を通す…も、とにかく食べるべき料理が分からない。という事で店名を冠したと思われる「ムラトラグメン」を注文。ただこれは野菜炒めの様であり、他に「ウイグル麺」やピタパンや蒸しパンと食べるのが一般的の様で…メニューに記載されたおススメの通りに「ウイグル麺」を「平めん」にて注文をする事にしました。
５分とちょっと待っての到着…日本料理と言っても良いのでは⁈というヴィジュアルで！ただ、味は想像つかず…実食‼︎
トマトベースの野菜炒めと言ったら良いでしょうか…⁈その色から辛いのではないか⁈とか油っこくないのか⁈なんて余計な心配をしましたが、本当に余計…それ等をマイルドに抑えて野菜の旨味を全面に出した、中華料理のイメージとはまた違う味で！それより何より、基本的には私が苦手なラム肉が滅茶苦茶美味しくて！なんと言っても、特有の臭みを感じる事が無く、肉自身の持つ旨味にクドくない脂身がちょうど良い感じに絡んで行く！これは日本人の大好きな味でしょ‼︎
更に日本人がハマりそうに思えたのは「ウイグル麺」。これは、きしめんや関東風の硬めの讃岐うどんが好きな人には特にハマりそう！ツルッとした物凄く強い弾力感と共にやって来る小麦の風味！これは味・食感共に私の心に想定外に刺さる！なんでこの「ウイグル麺」って日本でメジャーじゃないんだろう⁈提供しているお店が少ないからなんだろうけど。
最初は店員さんに促された通りに麺の上に野菜や羊肉を載せて食べていましたが、途中からどう食べても美味しい事が分かり、ルールとか関係無くなって、勢い良く完食しました‼︎
最寄りの駅から20分程歩くし、交通の便が良いとは決して言えませんが、これは遠征する価値は充分にあると思います。
