数日前から餃子が食べたいと言っていた女房が、長めの昼休みで大宮に戻るというので、食べログでチェックしてランチにお邪魔しました。 できれば多万里にしたかったのですが、にんにく抜きの餃子はないというので、食後に仕事に戻る女房に却下され、ここにしたのです。
結局餃子は食べず、海老ワンタンメン、エビチリセット、小龍包4つとジャスミン茶をポットで、あとは富士何とかという地ビールをいただきました。
海老ワンタンが豪華です。直径1センチくらいの下味のついた海老が1尾ずつ包まれています。きくらげも経験のないような歯ざわりでしっかり上品スープを含んでいます。 惜しいのは麺ですね。 パーチー（蝦子）麺のような味ですが、腰がありません。 中華料理屋の麺はけっこう外れがありますね。 先日、南銀の路地裏で刃削麺というメニューに惹かれて、日本語の不自由な中華料理屋で食べましたが、すいとんの薄切りみたいで腰も何もないものでした。 2本が4本に8本にと、麺を伸ばすパフォーマンスを行う中華料理屋もありますが、そんな麺でも旨かった験しがありません。 彼らにはアルデンテとか腰という概念がないのでしょうか。
エビチリセットはご飯かお粥が選べます。 ザーサイの千切りをトッピングにして食べました。 可もなく不可もないというところです。 チリソースは苦味なく爽やかな甘辛さ。
店名にもある小龍包ですが、２つずつ蒸篭に入れて供されます。 金属製のスプーンに薄紙を敷いて、その上に1つずつ乗ってきます。 味がついてますからと、そのまま食べることを薦めるのは納得できませんね。 黒酢を持ってきてもらいましたが、本場なら針のように細かく切った生姜も添えられます。 看板メニューにしては物足りない味だし、供し方だと思います。
お茶をポットで頼むと、ポット一杯分の追加湯もステンレス製の魔法瓶で供されます。 だけど2度目のお湯では明らかに茶の出が薄くて、あまり良い茶葉は使われいませんね。 ジャスミンの香りも弱いものだし。
