【今回】前回、このお店でバスペールエールを飲み、気に入り、その後はバスエールのドラフトがあるお店では必ず頼み、ビンのものも結構安いので、家飲みにもはまり、まぁ、その後はギネスのドラフトも好きになり、サッポロの生などは以前から好きなので、まぁ、なんでもいいっちゃいいんじゃない、ということなのですが、その3種類+レーベンブロイの生も飲めるお店だ、ということを言いたかったわけです。もちろん、ウィスキーも各種ありますし、カクテルや日本酒なども置いてあります。
しかし、今回はランチで訪問してみました。月・火・水・金はランチ営業をしているそうです。本日のランチは3種類。①もつ煮込み②ナスとベーコンのトマトソースパスタ③牛すじカレー、ということなので、牛スジカレーを注文。
メニューにありませんでしたが、生ビールを頼んでみました。とくに、種類を聞かれずに出てきたので、多分サッポロ生でしょうね。結局、出てきたビールはなんでも受け入れまっせ！
ビールと一緒に出てきたのが、サラダ、そして、卵と玉ねぎのコンソメスープ、玉ねぎの甘さがほんのりにじみ出ており、美味しい〜。そしてちょい遅れで出てきたメインのカレーも牛すじがよく煮込まれて、コクがあって美味しいです。夜も良いけど、昼のジョージもキングかも(^^♪
食後に、ランチに付いているアイスコーヒーを飲んでいると、小倉山荘の「祝い歳時記」をいただきました。なにか、良いことがあったのか、京都土産の差し入れか、その時いたお客さん限定で、お祝いのおすそ分け。なんだか、祝賀気分のランチとなりました。

【前回】南銀からちょっと離れたこの辺に、面白そうなお店が結構ありますね。なんだか、すごくそそられながら、今日はイングリッシュパブのこちらにおじゃまいたしました。
せっかくのイングリッシュパブなので、最初はギネスからで、バス・エールで締めくくりみたいな感じでした。初めて、エールを飲みましたが、私の味覚に合うというか、すごく美味しいですね。フルーティというか、ビールのコクとはまた違ったコクがあって、ファンになりました。最初から、これでいけば良かったかな。
おつまみは、トルティーヤ＆サルサなど乾き物的なものだったので、最後にホームシックになり、焼きそばを頼んでみました。これが、美味しいのっ。半熟目玉焼きが乗っかっててね、シメっていうか、踏ん切りがついたというか、満足してお店をでました。
お店は、外人のお客さんやアルディージャファンの方々で賑わっていました。一杯ごとに会計するシステムもイングリッシュパブらしくて楽しいですね。次回は、頼み忘れたフィッシュ・アンド・チップスとバス・エールで始めたいと思います。
