大宮駅1・2番ホーム、中央改札(北)・北改札に通じるコンコースの階段下。
JR東日本クロスステーションのサイトには同店の記載はなく、独立系である事が窺える。まあ大宮は京浜東北線の始発駅だから「1本遅らせて1杯食ってこ」という需要は多い筈、Jクロスとしては欲しいけど現経営陣は譲らないよなあ。
立ち食いそば屋なのに、埼玉県なのになぜか佐野ラーメンが有名な店。とはいえ普通のラーメンを食わないと比較も出来ないため、敢えて佐野ラーメンじゃない普通ラーメンの豪華版、チャーシュー麺670円をチョイス。
汁は鶏ガラベースのごくアッサリしたもの。醤油の味もそれほど感じない、良くいえば穏やかだが、減塩病院食みたいで味気無いという人もいるだろう。麺は軽く縮れた薄黄色の中細打ち。肝心のチャーシューだが、立ち食いそば屋のラーメンのチャーシューといえばペナペナと相場が決まってるが、ここのは分厚い。味は付いてないが、厚みがあるため旨味が抜け切ってパサパサという事もない、充分許容範囲内。これが3枚だが、ネギもワカメもやたらと多い、「えーい他の具材も倍載せしちゃえ！」じゃなくてチャーシューをもう1枚欲しい。チャーシュー麺の主役はチャーシューなんだからさ。
