I went to Kofukuen. This shop is located a short walk from the east exit of Omiya Station. I went there after the New Year holidays. When I went there after 11 o'clock, there were no customers in front of me and only 4 customers in the back. I looked at the menu and ordered miso stir-fried chicken. The daily special was stir-fried pork and egg. It came out in about 5 minutes. There was no soup either, so I looked around and saw a sign saying that you can get any refills of rice, soup, salad, and even almond tofu. I brought soup and salad. The soup is thick and piping hot. Miso stir-fried chicken is a slightly spicy type of Chinese miso. There was also chili pepper in it. The rice goes well with the rich seasoning. I didn't have enough rice so I ordered a little extra. Finally, I was able to reset my sour mouth by eating almond tofu. It was good for a 700 yen set meal. Other people were eating Ramen set, and it looked delicious too.
