Has Yamauchi Farm near the east exit of Omiya Station closed? As it seems, the other day, when I was wandering around the west exit, I found this restaurant serving lunch. There are various lunch menus, and I was curious about my first visit at noon on a weekday. There were already many customers, so I could tell it was popular, and I was shown to a large room in the back for banquets. I pressed the table bell to call the staff, and I made a mistake by ordering the ginger-grilled set meal even though free-range chicken was the signature menu item. It was served in about 7 minutes, and of course there was plenty of ginger-yaki, cabbage, and mayonnaise, so I had no complaints. The garnish is mini tofu, and the ingredients for the miso soup are green onions and wakame seaweed, a scene you often see in set meals. You can refill your own rice and miso soup, but I'm a little reluctant to do so these days. Now, the most important part is the ginger grilled pork.The fatty pork is soft and has a slightly bland taste, which goes well with the mayonnaise. By the time I finished eating, the large room was full, and most of the customers around me were ordering the daily set meal (Yurinji).I think I should have gone for the local chicken, but I'll try again next time. Thank you for the delicious ginger-yaki set meal!
