This burger shop is about 6-7 minutes walk from the west exit of JR Omiya Station. The name of the shop comes from the chant "Invincible Omiya" sung by supporters of Omiya's soccer team, Omiya Ardija. The melody of this song was borrowed from the theme song "The Great Escape March" of the 1963 American movie "The Great Escape". I support Urawa Reds, so I feel like I'm in an away game when I enter this shop, but "The Great Escape March" is also used as a chant for the Reds. In the first place, the Reds are in J1, but Ardija are in J3, so they're not rivals. A live Omiya Ardija game is being broadcast on the wall display inside the shop. Just as Omiya scored the opening goal, the owner was grinning. I'm glad they look like they'll win again today (incidentally, as of today, April 2024, Omiya Ardija is undefeated and leading the J3 League. I hope they can really make a big break out of J3 and even make it to J2 next year). Wishing Ardija the best of luck, I had a draft beer and bit into Hamburger. Hamburger was quite thick but meaty enough. I thought it was well balanced with the crispy bun. Considering the price (1,030 yen), I'd say it was a reasonable meal. Thank you for the meal.
