I went to Konpeito Unakacho. This shop is located a short walk from Omiya Station. At first, I was going to go to another store, but it started raining heavily on the way, so I ended up going to this store, which I had been interested in for a while. When I went there after 12:00 on a weekday, there were 7.8 people in front of me and a few people in the back. When I asked about the daily special, I was told it was pork ginger, so I ordered that. Fried chicken was 120 yen each, so I ordered that as well. It came out in about 10 minutes. Pork ginger is hearty. There was a lot of sauce and it tasted salty, so I tried not adding too much sauce and it turned out just right. I can have a second helping of rice, but I won't. The fried chicken was bland. Adding pork ginger sauce to this made it just right. When I passed by before, they only had yakitori bowls and fried foods, but the menu has expanded. Other customers ordered daily specials, grilled fish, and fried chicken.
