Lunch at Omiya. I went to a certain store, but I heard that the store was sold out, so I decided to change my mind and visit this nearby store. There was a lunch menu outside, and I was drawn to the stir-fried liver. When I entered the store after 13:00, there were 5 or 6 customers before me and 0 customers after me. The interior looks like a typical Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). I take a seat and look at the menu again. Stir-fried pure liver, stew with offal, fried chicken, and beef tendon curry. Curry only costs 900 yen, others 850 yen. I've started to think that set meals in the 800 yen range are cheap. I ordered pure liver stir-fry with my first intention. It will be served in about 5 minutes. ＊＊＊ Stir-fried pure liver. It is topped with a sweet soy sauce sauce, which has a good balance of sweetness and is very delicious. The rice goes well with just the sauce. Liver has almost no odor. It has just the right amount of fire and has a good texture. It seems to be recommended even for people who don't like liver. Since we were able to have free refills of rice, the meal progressed quickly. Although the amount of liver was not that large, considering the price, it was a very satisfying lunch. (January 2024)
