18年くらい前、当時、さいたま芸術劇場に移転して間もない頃から通っている。やたら元気で威勢が良すぎたシェフは、18年経っても相変わらず異常に元気で衰える気配がない。妖怪かな。
料理も良い意味で変わらない。リーズナブルな価格のランチでも、市販の業務用ソースや冷凍品は一切使わず、イチから仕込む。パンも全て自家製。特に野菜は、生産者はもちろん、土質までチェックして、どこの畑で穫れたかまで指定する。と聞いたことがある。
気軽なランチも良いが、真価はディナーで発揮されると思う。
流行りに乗りすぎない王道のフレンチだが、年配の常連客も多いので食後感は軽い。ワインの価格も手頃。
感覚的には、都心フレンチのディナーの6〜7割くらいの予算で済んでしまう。
