8月も終わろうというのに、熱中症アラート発令、さいたま市の予想最高気温35℃。
この日も浦和で迎えた昼食時間、熱いもの、脂っこいものは、何となく受けつけません。
そういえば東口の寿司屋に寄った際、近くにもう一軒寿司屋があることに気づいており、伺うことにしました。
外から窺うことのできない店内は、清潔感があり、少し高級感も感じます。
カウンターに先客さんが2名1組。私もカウンターに座りました。
ご主人は柔和な物腰で、多弁ではありませんが、必要な接客用語をしっかり話されます。
奥様でしょうか、店名の入った立派なお茶を持ってきてくれました。
注文したのは、海鮮丼1000円。ご主人が調理後、蓋のついた丼にて出してくれます。同じタイミングで奥様が、味噌汁、お新香、切干大根とちくわの小皿、オレンジを運んでくれます。
具材はタコ・エビ・コハダ・赤身・イクラ・卵焼き。具を食べ進めると、ご飯との間に、刻んだカンピョウっぽいものが出現。手を休めながらもカウンター内ですっくと立ち続けるご主人にその正体を聞くと「ガリとカンピョウです」。そういえばガリが見えませんでしたが、予め刻んで仕込まれているのですね。こういう海鮮丼は初めてです。
先客さんが帰ってから、後客さんが見えず、12時少し過ぎのランチタイム真っ只中だというのに、私一人になっていました。お会計の際、「これから混んでくるのですか」と聞くと、ご主人、「このところこんなものです」と寂しい回答。感じのいいお店なので、伊勢丹浦和店での買い出しの後、家族で訪れてもいいな、と思いました。
