I'm in Minami Ward, Saitama City for work. I had lunch at Cafe Hanamaru, a local Italian Cuisine restaurant. The interior is small and clean. The words "Smile Hanamaru Lunch Limited to 5 meals 2,000 yen" caught my eye on the menu, so I ordered it without thinking. The meal consisted of a half-sized pasta dish selection by the master (it was pesto), a chiffon salad with colorful vegetables, a homemade dessert (today's dessert: choose from mango parfait, vanilla chiffon cake, or scone cream sandwich), and King Arthur Blend coffee. The salad was filling and satisfying. The pasta was thick and had a strange texture. The dessert (I chose chiffon) and coffee were very good.
