玉蔵院から裏門通りを下ってくると真新しい店がぽつぽつとできたりしている。
「洋食屋」や「こもれび食堂＋」に近い界隈。数年前から何か出来たなとは認識していたので、あらためてこの目と舌で確認のため週末ランチに訪店。
肉バルと銘打ってあるだけあってメニューは肉料理がメイン。無性にステーキが食べたい気分だったので、牛ハラミカットステーキをオーダー。肉料理で脂ぎった口の中をさっぱりさせる算段で、プラス100円のドリンクはグレープフルーツジュースとした。
肉そのものに味はほぼついておらず、肉そのものの味を楽しむか卓上の特製ダレ／ブラックペッパーと塩でセルフ味付けというスタイル。
牛ハラミは横隔膜付近の筋肉なだけあってちょっと硬いかなとは思ったけど、むしろこれくらい歯ごたえがあるほうがステーキっぽくて美味い。繊維に沿ってナイフを入れるとさっくり切れてちょっと嬉しい。部位の関係なのか、芯まで火が通ってウエルダンな焼き方だった。
ザ・焼肉のたれ的やや甘口スタンダードな味付けの特製ダレにブラックペッパーを振るという合わせ技。たれ、ペッパー、たれ＋ペッパーの3種類を思う存分味変を楽しめる。最高かよ。
それよりもご飯をおかわりさせることを大前提としているくらいの肉肉肉！付け合わせのじゃがいもやコーンもそっちのけでストイックなまでに肉ばかり。肉料理を謳っておいてがっかりさせる店もごまんとある中、がっつりいきたい肉食男子女子にとっては天国以外のなにものでもない。肉バルの名に偽りなし。
ライスおかわり自由とのこで、普段は少食なのに半ライスをおかわりしてしまう。それくらいにこのハラミは美味くて量もたっぷり。優しい甘みのオニオンコンソメスープで流し込む。
若干パスタメニューもあったが、せっかく肉バルなんだものガッツリ肉を食らいたい。
紙エプロンのサービスもあってコスパが恐ろしいくらいに良い。こういう世の中、ちゃんと利益を出せているか経営を心配してしまうのは自分だけだろうか。。。
