カレー食べ歩きストの方よりお招き頂き、川口まで6月にオープンしたばかりのお店へ。
普段のメニューは「北インドぽいビッグナンとクリーミーカレー」な感じだが、シェフの実力はそんなものじゃなかった。
ただ、お酒に関してワイン、ウィスキー、ビールなどはインドのものが他店より豊富。
ウィスキーはオールドモンク、マッキントッシュ、ピーターなどなど、他店ではメニューに書いてあるのに実際は無いってこともないのが嬉しい限り。
さて、珠玉のコルカタスペシャルのはじまり！！
ちょっと、名前が覚えきれないので簡易的に書くと大きなターリー皿に
ジラライスを中心に、サラダ、アルタルカリ、ベイガンパコラ、オクラタルカリ、フィッシュフライ、チキンジョル、ダルカリー。
タリーの外にイリシュジョル、チングリマライジョル。
皿にスペサルサルビスですっぽんのジョル。
亀を食べる文化があるのも驚き。
これらはかなりレストランライクというか、豪華な内容だとは思うが、同じベンガルといってもバングラデシュの料理とは全然違うんだなと感心しきり。
手食でムシャムシャ、もじゃもじゃ。
今回は特別ターリーだったが土日限定でこのようなコルカタターリーを実験的にやっているそうなので、お近くの人は行くべし。
近くなくてもカレー好きなら行くべしだ。
尚、スタートの時間前にマッサージに行って遅刻してすみませんでした。
何せこの連休の二日でカレーを80食作って、「凝る肩」状態だったので、、、。
