川口駅近辺では珍しいやばい居酒屋 : Izakaya Momiji

This Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) opened in July 2023. It used to be a chicken specialty store, and before that it was Mr. Donuts, and it's in what is considered to be a prime location near the shopping district from Kawaguchi Station. I can't help but look forward to seeing a four-story Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) built here. I went to see what was going on as soon as it opened the other day, but it was full, so I couldn't get in, and they told me to wait a while before coming, but when I passed by the store last Friday, it was 2. Can customers enter the floor without being seen? When I opened the entrance door, a young staff member was chatting inside the store and didn't notice me. When I said ``Excuse me'' in a loud voice, he seemed surprised and asked me to come in. It was after 7pm on a Friday, and there were no customers at the counter seats on the first floor, and the second and third floors were empty, so I was told to go to the second floor. that? It's been open for less than a month and it's still like this? Are you okay? That's what I thought, but I decided to wait and see what happened, so I sat at a table on the second floor. At this point, there was only one customer. The first thing I noticed when I sat down at the table was that the balance between the table and the chairs was terrible. Sitting is not comfortable because the height is not right. Moreover, the table was not stable, and when I knelt on the edge of the table, the table tipped over with a bang. I almost knocked over the plate when the food was on it. I wonder if the management here has ever sat down with me? I regained my composure and checked the menu. The overall settings are rather high. Potato salad 800 yen? Offal stew 700 yen? ? Is this store a bit more upscale? Many of Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) restaurants near Kawaguchi Station have slightly lower prices, and at this price point, you'd think they'd be Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that serves carefully selected dishes using good ingredients, such as tabeyawaemon. I wonder if this is an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) aimed at that direction. Since it's my first time, I'll order Cow tongue meatballs (700 yen) and beef tendon stew (700 yen), both of which have recommendation marks. While waiting for my food, I encountered a bit of a mess. I can't write about the specifics here, but since there were so many issues, you might be able to get the impression that it wasn't a very calm environment to have a meal. In short, it's no good. Now, when I prepared the plates while I was waiting, it was extremely hot.I was surprised to see that it was just one plate, but the others were also extremely hot. Well, our food arrived without much wait. First up is the beef tendon stew, but the waitress who brought it to me said, ``The bowl is hot, so please be careful.'' Is the bowl of stew hot? I had a bad feeling about it, so I touched it and found it to be strangely hot. You see, when the bowl is hot, you can tell that we didn't put the stewed motsu in the bowl, but that we poured the whole bowl with the lentils. Also, as you can see in the photo, the beef tendon stew was like an appetizer, with only about 4 pieces of beef tendon in it. Is this 700 yen? I tried it, but it tasted like you could find it anywhere. And Cow tongue meatballs arrived. This is the dish in question. Four meatballs the size of table tennis balls. It's over 150 yen each. Isn't it quite delicious? When I dipped it in raw egg and ate it, it had a crunchy texture. It had no taste of Cow tongue at all and had a rubbery texture, which was impossible. My companion and I ate one each, but we couldn't get to the second one. As expected, I didn't feel like ordering after the 3rd item, so I paid for it here. Although I only stayed for about 30 minutes, I felt like I had a terrible experience. The tuition fee was 3,500 yen for two people, which was expensive. To be honest, I didn't feel angry or anything, I felt sad. Over the past few years, due to the effects of the coronavirus, restaurants have lost their vitality, and many restaurants around Kawaguchi Station have been closing down.However, from around spring 2023, the impact of the coronavirus has been overcome, and customers are finally returning to the city. I want to eat lots of delicious food outside! I feel really sad that a shop like this exists among the many young and elderly people. Due to the structure of the store, I can't help but compare it to Taki, which is just around the corner from here. Ta〇ki has quite a large menu and low prices, so you can casually enjoy alcoholic beverages. This restaurant has a large menu, but the taste is reasonable. I wonder if the manager here is looking into nearby Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). After leaving the store, I went to Takoki to cleanse my palate, but it was full and I couldn't get in. Well, it's before 8pm on a Friday, so it's natural. My impression is that if this store continues like this, it won't last until the end of the year. I just wish them the best of luck if they continue to operate at this location, and I really hope they do their best.
