埼玉県越谷市にある洋食店『ジラソウ （Girassol）』を訪ねます。
“Girassol”とは、ポルトガル語でひまわりという意味。明るい店作りを想いを込めたそうですが、お客さんもきっとひまわりのような笑顔を向けてくれるはず。だって、ハンバーグやオムライスを嫌いな人なんていないもの。笑 そんな前提に甘えずに、ソースもマヨネーズもドレッシングも全てが自家製というから頭が下がります。洋食だけではなくフレンチやイタリアンでの修行経験を持つというシェフならではのスペックでございます。
洋食店の唯一の悩みどころが、魅力的なメニューが多すぎるところ。だが、そんな悩みまでも解決して、我々に笑顔をもたらせてくれます。６種類の主役級のメニューから２つを頼める「ミックスプレート」を提供しているのです。さらに570円追加すれば３種類のミックスプレートまで注文可能になっております！最高！
「ハンバーグ」
肉汁たっぷりという触れ込みだが、ナイフを入れた瞬間に飛び出る肉汁ではない。肉がパンパンに詰まっており、その間間に肉汁が閉じ込められているようなイメージ。肉感が強い上に、口に入れるたびに肉汁を感じられるというわけだ。ソースが山葵風味で、これと肉汁が混ざった見事なオリジナルソースに仕上がっております。
「オムライス」
ふわとろ半熟系のオムライス。ソースは独特な風味のあるデミグラスで、マイルドな味わいになっております。とろとろの卵と混ざり合い、一体感を持ってケチャップライスに相対していきます。
「カニクリームコロッケ」
スペシャリテ的な位置付けにあるのがこれ。俵形ではなく、いわゆるコロッケのフォルムで登場。クリームの味付けの濃厚さが最大の特徴で、蟹の風味をも凌駕しそうな勢いです。揚げたてへのこだわりが強く、音が鳴るほどのサクサク感も特徴です。
