Notice of business resumption
A 3-minute walk from Wako-shi Station, this is the 16th year of Teppan-yaki Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) stylish drinks and food! |
A Teppan-yaki Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that opened next to [a:11002829, PUBLIC BAR enishi] within walking distance from Wako City Station. This Enishi and the neighboring enishi seem to be sister stores. When I visited shortly after it opened, the number of customers was sparse, and it seemed like there was still a long way to go, but this time, perhaps because it was December, it was a huge success and was nearly full. The menu has also changed from when it opened. There is a wooden floor at the entrance that makes you want to take off your shoes, but this is a store where you can enter with shoes on. When you open the door, to your right is the kitchen, there are counter seats where you can eat with a griddle in front of you, table seats in the back, and spacious tatami mat seats as you enter the aisle on the right. The sirloin Steak (120g, 3,800 yen), which is considered to be the most expensive item at this restaurant, has meat layered with grilled round onions, and on top of that is also grilled garlic. On the side were raw vegetables, grated daikon radish, and store-bought wasabi on the edge of the plate. It seems like you should enjoy it with soy sauce or salt, but I think the meat itself is good for this price, so I'd like to enjoy it with pepper flavor or horseradish, and if I want to be extravagant, I'd go with commercially available wasabi mixed with other ingredients. I would be happier if they used fresh wasabi instead. The sliced onions were so large that they were difficult to eat, and the way the garnishes and meat were presented made it seem like a dish that oozed masculinity, for better or for worse. The minced meat cutlet here is good. The large, white plate had raw vegetables as an accompaniment and a fist-sized piece of minced meat. When I cut it open at the edge, the clear meat juice that came out oozed out, and even though I'm not a big fan of oily foods, I couldn't help but blurt out how delicious it looked, and the taste seemed to match that. The vegetables that came with it were also fresh, which I was very happy about as a vegetable lover. In the stir-fried pork kimchi, the kimchi lacks depth of flavor, and the overall seasoning is too light and doesn't come together well. The taste of the meat itself isn't bad at all, but as a "fried pork kimchi" it's a bit disappointing. Steamed vegetables are a delightfully healthy dish, served cutely in a small steamer basket. I'm very grateful to have something like this on the Teppan-yaki Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) menu, which tends to have heavy items that use oil. Raw foods such as liver sashimi seem to have a set date for purchase due to freshness, so if you really want to try it, it's best to check in advance to confirm availability. It's only been about two months since it opened, so I'm looking forward to further improvements in the future.
