A stylish shop near Kagohara Station
When I went to Kagohara North Exit to pick up my family in the evening, I noticed a light on the street next to the overpass and noticed this shop. It may be related because it had the same name as the caterer before the Self-Defense Forces. There is Tokujuan Kagohara store nearby. The location reminds me of the Penguin Cafe near Okabe Station. The inside of the store is very stylish with a bar counter and yellow chairs. It's near the station, so it might be a good place to go for a drink at night. For lunch, there was one type of pasta and one type of rice bowl for each day of the week. On this day, I had Vongole Bianco or Meat Doria, so I chose pasta. The salad has crisp vegetables and a vinegary dressing that will whet your appetite. The soup is piping hot wakame soup. Vongole is rich with large clams, garlic, and sliced chili peppers. The sauce was delicious, but unfortunately the pasta was overcooked. The dessert was Catalana, which was sweet, slightly crunchy, and delicious. There are some interesting menu items, and I would like to try the rice next time.

I went to Shinbaya for the first time in a while. Lunch consisted of soba noodles. I chose soba noodles and mini Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) from the set menu. It looks like the shop is busy as the owner also does takeaway delivery. Salad and soba soup came first. Enjoy your salad while waiting for your soba noodles. After a while, the soba noodles and Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) were brought out. The soba noodles are thin and well drained. The noodles were a bit short for me personally, but they were chewy considering they were thin. Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) was delicious with shrimp, green pepper, green onion, and lotus root. After eating the soba noodles, I had a soba-yu to relax. At the end, we had some coffee and enjoyed a soba lunch at an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar).
