以前10年以上前に一度訪問したことがあり、ただその時は子連れで落ち着かず、また旅行帰りの晩で昼もしっかり食べたのもあり、お腹いっぱいであまり堪能できなかったので、またいつか再訪をと思ったようやく念願叶っての訪問です。
1ヶ月前の予約開始日に電話して予約しました。注文は鶏すきのコースです。琵琶湖の西側、琵琶湖大橋を渡ってすぐ、大通りから横道入った閑静な住宅街にあります。ちなみに、こちらのお店、かしわや川中という地鶏の販売店併設です。
コースの内容は以下の通り。
・前菜、皮チップ、いぶりがっことクリームチーズと鶏肉あえ、鴨の自家製パンツェッタ、本モロコの甘露煮、ゴリの甘露煮
・白湯スープ、棒棒鶏、だし巻き玉子
・鴨の炙り藁焼き、胸肉とささみの刺身
・手羽先焼き、三年寝かした醤油のフリーズドライと山椒
・ねぎまの炭焼
・近江シャモすき焼き雄雌食べ比べ、卵が大きめと普通サイズあり、3個割ったけど大きめは全て双子でした。調べたら、若鶏が栄養たっぷりで産んだ卵は双子が多いとのこと。
・土鍋ご飯
・デザート
今回は昼ご飯を控えていたけどやっぱり最後は苦しくなりました。鍋なので同行者にも依るけど、量的にはここまでのボリューム感を感じたコースは久しぶりでした。鶏料理も鍋も地鶏の良さが感じられるコースです。ただ、すき焼きは個人的には鶏料理としては牛の方がと思ったのと、この地鶏なら網焼きや味噌焼きと言った濃いめの味付けで食べた方がと感じてしまいました。鍋はすき焼き以外にも選べるけど、さすがに次あれば鍋より、カウンター限定の淡海地鶏コースを一度食べに来たいです。
