I work in Otsu. I was looking for lunch in front of the station when I found a soba restaurant. It was quite crowded. The interior is purely Japanese, but the ordering method is to scan the QR code. There is a menu on the table, but there are set meals that are not listed on it. This time I ordered a katsudon set meal with small udon and warm that I found on the QR code. You can choose a small size of soba or udon for the katsudon. The katsudon goes well with the crispy fried red meat cutlet and the rich sauce. The amount of rice is quite large. There is also one cutlet and a little extra, so it is very filling! The udon is so soft that it breaks if you hold it with chopsticks with force. Looking around, it seems that soba and mackerel Sushi are often served. The soba has a good reputation in reviews, so I will order it next time.
