Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. This restaurant is located in front of JR Ishiyama Station. I found it while looking for a place to have lunch. They have a variety of lunch options for 600 yen, and I'm not familiar with the area, so I thought I might not be able to find another lunch place right away. So I went here. When I entered the restaurant, the staff member who seemed to be a part-timer greeted me in a very unfriendly and businesslike manner. First, I bought a ticket from the ticket machine. I handed the ticket to the staff member, made myself some tea, and waited for a while. It took about 13-14 minutes, and my meal finally arrived. The pork cutlet stew was a little on the strong side. The miso soup was also too strong for me. The texture of the thin fried tofu was dry, which I didn't really like. The white rice wasn't very tasty either. However, they had introduced a machine that automatically poured rice for refills, which I thought was very hygienic and nice. In the past, if the previous customer was careless with their rice, the water bowl that the rice scoop was placed in would get all soggy, which could make me lose my appetite, but now you just place the bowl in the designated place, push the button and the rice falls out of the machine, so I think this is much better.
