滋賀県JR草津駅西口すぐに位置するボストンプラザ草津ホテル。外観やネーミングは高級感溢れますが、リーズナブルな価格帯のホテルです。
オールデイダイニング リバティはこのホテル内のレストラン。宿泊した際、朝食のため利用しました。
リバティの朝食はハーフバイキング。まず全員に和洋折衷のモーニングプレートが提供されます。
★ハムエッグ ハッシュドポテト入り
★2種の焼き魚と、コーンとアスパラのかき揚げ
★トマトソースの煮込みハンバーグ
★特製冷奴
以上が高級感ある重箱に4品入っていますが、どれもありがちな朝食の品ではなく、工夫があり美味しいもの。
残りはバイキングです。ご飯やスープ、サラダ、パンはもちろん、近江牛カレーや、冷やしうどんも。朝なのに爽やかに冷やしうどんというのは、暑い夏だから最適です。
デザートには、フルーツサラダやシャーベットも用意されています。ドリンクはコーヒー、紅茶、ジュース、牛乳なども。
モーニングプレートの内容が好みでない人にとっては通常のバイキングの方がいいと思うかもしれません。
でも私はこうした創作性のある朝食は評価できると思いました。
