I came to Mentai Park Biwako. The location is right in front of Lake Biwa in Yasu City. When you enter the entrance, you will be greeted by Kanefuku's image character, Kiyoshi Hikawa, dressed in a purple suit. This is Mentaiko's Kanefuku Mentaiko theme park. There is also an eat-in corner and sales of freshly made mentaiko products sold directly from the factory. I was also interested in the Onimori Mentaidon, but I wasn't that hungry so I went for the jumbo Onigiri. There are four types of jumbo Onigiri: grilled mackerel mentaiko, grilled cod roe with mayo, grilled cod roe, and freshly made mentaiko. I ordered freshly made mentaiko Onigiri rice balls. They are 2 to 3 times the size of regular Onigiri. It also contains plenty of mentaiko. There is also a Kanefuku factory attached, so I was able to eat rice balls filled with freshly made Onigiri. At the eat-in corner, you could eat while looking at Lake Biwa, and there was also free tea service. Most of the interior is decorated in the color of mentaiko.
