近江八幡の県道２号線沿いの当店。辺りは田園風景が広がり、大きなhimawariの看板と異彩を放つ建物がよく目立っている。駐車場あり。昔からある人気のレストランだ。予約をオススメする。久しぶりの訪問になった。ライトオークを基調とした店内は、テーブル席と床間の掘りごたつ席があり、ゆったりした明るい掘りごたつ席に案内してもらった。注文したのはランチメニューから半熟卵のオムライス（スープ、サラダ付き）１１００円税込プラス大盛り２００円税込増しのドリンクケーキセットプラス３００円税込。オムライスは、えのき、しめじ、ハムの入ったケチャップライスにフワフワ卵が乗っている。残念ながら味は普通。大盛りの量は、まあこんなもんかな。ドリンクケーキセットは、カスタードプリンとアーモンドシフォンケーキとアイスコーヒー。こちらはコスパ抜群。まあ、雰囲気は良かったし、ゆっくりできた。
