JR近江八幡駅から南の方、堀上町のあたりにあるインネパカレーのお店です。
駐車場は、お店の前と裏の方にありますが、信号機もあるので、進入は比較的簡単です。
入門編らしく、セットにしようかなと思ったのですが、薬膳カレーの中から野菜カレーの「ダルカレー」にしてみました。
聞きかじりですが、インドでは肉の代わりに豆をカレーに使うことが多いらしく、中でもひよこ豆が一般的？なようです。
こちらのお店では、カレーの辛さは選べて、0～５レベまでありますが、大辛となっている４にしてみました。
店内には国旗がありますが、ネパールのもののみ。お店の形態はよくあるものみたいですね＾＾
さて、注文を受けてからカレー以外は手作りのようで、何やら厨房が賑やかですよ。そんなこんなで待つこと１５分・・・。
まず、連れのディナーセット1,250円（税込）が到着。巨大なナンです。ご飯はちっちゃな器に入ってます。
嬉しいことに、ナンとご飯はお替り自由とのこと♪
カレーはチキンカレーで、チキンティッカとミニサラダもついてます。カレーはスパイスの味が鮮烈で、まったくのサラッとしたタイプではなく、多少とろみもあるようです。複雑にして、不思議とクリアな感じもする逸品です。よく似込まれた大き目のチキンが入っており、肉厚から旨みたっぷりです。
次に自分のダルカレーが到着。レベル４の辛さであるので心配しましたが、お豆の影響かそれほど辛さは感じませんでした。何のお豆かは聞いていませんでしたが、食感はしっかりあったので、大き目であったことは確か。大量に入ってるので常にお豆の味がしています。お肉でないので、物足りませんが、薬膳ということなら味わいもまた違うもの。インドの悠久の歴史を感じながらお豆を嚙みしめるのでした＾＾ カレーの特徴は、上記と同じです。
グリーンサラダ350円（税込）も注文しましたが、おっきいお皿にたっぷりと。
家族経営のようで、子供の姿も見えましたが、ネパール人の？奥様は、特有のチャーミングな笑顔で、「ナンおかわりいかがですか？」とか周囲にも常に心配りいただき、お世話いただきました。なかなかサービスもいいですよ。
レシートはキッチリ発行。完全禁煙。大変信頼のおけるお店です。
大変美味しかったです。今度は違うカレーも食しに行きますね。
