これは2020年の話だが、
近江兄弟社さんを訪ねて、
遅いお昼を千成亭さんにすべり込んだ。
15時の閉店間際だったので牛丼となったが、
本当は近江牛のロースステーキ重などに未練が残った。（笑）
だが、ご飯にふんわりとたっぷり乗せられた近江肉は
甘みがあって上品なつゆが沁みこんだ美味しい牛丼だった。
八幡堀を見て行きますかと言われ、日牟礼八幡宮にもお参りして
あじさいの咲く八幡堀もよかったが、
お店から堀につづく石畳の小路もよかった。
風情、情緒たっぷりのところで、
今度はゆっくり来て街中に残るヴォーリズ建築なども巡って、
次は、ステーキやすき焼きで近江牛を味わいたいね♪
