The popular restaurant that is ranked #1 on Tabelog Okonomiyaki and monjayaki in Nara has arrived in Omihachiman! All Monja-yaki is cooked by our staff with graceful skill right in front of the custom |
I visited on a weekday evening. It seemed pretty empty. I ordered Gomoku Monja (1,100 yen) and Tonpeiyaki (590 yen). It was my first time eating Monja-yaki, so I'm not sure what to expect, but it was pretty tasty. I could really taste the plumpness of the shrimp and the generous amount of minced meat. However, I think there was a little too much cherry shrimp, which made it a bit rough. It was fun to see them cook it right in front of me. I want to try cooking it myself lol The Tonpeiyaki was a simple dish, just egg and pork. It was tasty, but maybe a little too salty.
