近ごろ、美味しい近江牛を追い求めているわたくし。
たまたま訪れていた滋賀県竜王町がその発祥の地と知ります。ならば近江牛をいただこうと、ランチ目的で当店に初訪。近江牛の老舗『岡喜』の系列店です。
11:30開店の一番乗り。
早速メニュー表を眺めますが、どれが近江牛なのかがわからず。店員さんに訊ねますと、
「メニューの名前に "近江牛" と書かれています」
と、明快な回答。
でも、ほかに "国産牛"、"竜王牛"、"オカキエイジングビーフ" などの表記もあり、わかりにくいのも確か。
★近江牛ユッケビビンバ丼 サラダ•スープ付
5分ほどで着丼。色鮮やかで美味しそう。
実食。
「なるほどこれが近江牛の旨さかぁ」
とまではいかないのが正直なところ。
夜は近江牛のコースがあるようで、魅力を感じます。近江牛ユッケは、ロゼスパークリングワインなどと合わせると、さらに味覚が引き出されるかと。
ただ、車オンリーのロケーションだけに、実現は難しそうです。
