滋賀の郷土料理を食べて辞した小料理屋の目の前に美味しそうな蕎麦屋があり、まぁ小料理の一環と思えば腹も違和感ないだろうとそのまま入ってしまった長浜の「手打ち蕎麦 みたに」。小洒落た店内でメニューも凝ってる。
ビールを飲みつつ、せいろと田舎蕎麦が楽しめる《二種盛り薬味膳》を所望。小鉢多っ！
まずは田舎を塩でお召し上がりください、というお店の勧めに従うと、蕎麦の甘みに衝撃。なんじゃこら、大変美味いぞ。かなりしっかり蕎麦の風味があるのだけど、単体では感じづらい甘みをしっかり楽しめる。なお試しにせいろも塩で食べたが田舎ほど明確でなく、お店のお勧めには従っておくものだなと。
その後はつゆでいただくが、文化圏的には関西かなと思ってたので、ツユの濃さにまたびっくり。辛いほどではないがかなり強く、だが蕎麦がせいろも田舎もつゆに負けない強度と風味なので、実はめっちゃ相性が良かったりする。全体的に濃い味なのは、ワシは好み。田舎の美味さが特筆かな。
薬味は、トロロ、山菜も良いが、そんな中辛味大根がめちゃ辛味でまた吃驚。そうかここは福井県鬼おろしの勢力圏内か。ちょこんと付いてきた稲荷はお揚げが超ジューシーで良い。
最後には蕎麦湯まで濃く、それぞれの味がパキッと立っているのが面白いお店だった。満足。
