ＪＲ長浜駅から徒歩１０分ほどのところにある当店。駐車場なし。店前で揚げる小鮎の天ぷらが有名で、それを狙ってやって来たのだが、先週までやっていたのだが、今シーズンはもう終わったとのこと。残念。冬場はやらないようだ。仕方がないので、店内の琵琶湖産湖魚の佃煮などを物色することに。イートインスペースはない。店内は縦に長い造りになっていて、湖魚が所狭しと並ぶ。鯉なども泳いでいたりして、雰囲気も良い。そして、多数の試食ができるから、じっくりと吟味して選ぶことができる。この日購入したのは、琵琶湖産もろこの焼串４３２円税込。もろこを素焼きしただけのものだが、特製酢味噌につけて食べると珍味。滋味豊かな深みのある味だ。酒の肴にちょうど良い。次回は、暖かくなったら、今度こそ小鮎の天ぷらをいただきに寄らせていただきたい。
