滋賀県長浜は琵琶湖畔に建つホテル「北ビワコホテルグラツィエ」のメイン様式ダイニング「ラ・スピアッジャ」さん訪問してきました。
長浜は豊臣秀吉が築いた城下町ということで、市内には由緒ある建物が色々と残っていますがこちらのホテルはそこからは少し離れた琵琶湖畔に位置しますが、目の前は竹生島行きの観光船が出港する港がありますし、長浜一番？の観光名所の黒壁の商店街からも徒歩圏という恵まれた立地です。
ホテルは長浜市と姉妹都市の関係にあるイタリア北部の街、ヴェローナのテイストをコンセプトにしており、こちらのレストランの内装もその雰囲気で統一されています。きれいにされているんですが、でもちょっと何かが足らない。室内が明るすぎるのかな？箱に対してレイアウトがどうしてもファミレスっぽくなるからかな？もう一歩「特別感」ないしは「わくわく感」の演出ができるといいのですが。でもこれって贅沢な願望かもしれません。よくも悪くも地方ホテル内のメインダイニングの体です。
店内には大きなワインセラーもあって、ワインへのこだわりも感じられて、ワインリストが楽しみだったのですが。。。伺った日がたまたまだったのか、ちょうどワインの入れ替えということで、ワインリストにあるワインの約半数が「Sold-out」。折角立派なワインセラーがあるのにちょっと残念でした。
料理はいたって普通に美味しいです。でも折角のロケーションだったりするんですから何か名物になりえる料理があればと思いました。ということで星２つと0.7です！
