北陸本線木ノ本駅から徒歩７分のところにある当店。駐車場なし。当店は、味わい深くキレのよいあの滋賀の辛口地酒『七本槍』の蔵元。『七本槍』のラベルに使われている文字は、この酒をこよなく愛した、かの北大路魯山人の字であることでも有名。外観は創業して４６０年以上経つとあって、重厚感が半端ない。玄関先の杉玉の立派なこと。内観も、建物は古いが、掃除が行き届いていて、凛としている。商品も整然と並べられ、まるで歴史博物館を見るようだ。お酒の味はよく知っているので、この日は、七本槍の酒粕ジェラート３６０円税込を購入。家に持ち帰って、夕食後のデザートにいただいた。これがなかなか旨い。酒粕を生でかじったような感覚。アルコールはほとんど含まれないのに、ガツンとお酒の風味を感じることができる。ジェラートらしく、スッキリした中にクリーミーさもある。なかなか良いものを発見した。
