最寄り駅は、ＪＲ近江高島駅になるが、離れているので車が便利。駐車場あり。高島のびわ湖岸。眼前にびわ湖の浜が広がっている。日帰り温泉と霜降りＡ５ランク近江牛の陶板焼き膳のセット（４０００円ほど）を見つけて、ネット申し込みからの訪問。当店は、かなり古い建物だが、部分的に改修を施されている。到着すると早速、露天の貸切風呂に案内してもらった。WEBの案内では、貸切風呂ではなかったように思ったが、後で合点がいった。誰でも入浴可能な内湯は、今回の貸切風呂より狭く、予約なしの日帰り温泉もしておられるので、先客がおられた場合、入れなくなるから、露天風呂を予約者専用にしてあったようだ。おかげでゆっくりできた。貸切風呂にしては広さもあり、また、泉質もよく、鉄分を含んでいるようで、少し濁りがある。ただ、シャワーがないのが難点。風呂から上がると個室へ案内してもらう。これがイマイチ。窓がなく、小さな虫が何匹もいて、追い払うことさえできない。店側にも言ってみたが、特に対応できないようで、困った顔をされたので、そのままで。虫と格闘しながらであったが、近江牛は最高に旨い。大きなサイズの肉が５枚ほど付いており、ボリュームも申し分ない。トロける旨さだ！ご飯おかわり可。時間は２時間制。必ず貸切風呂が利用できて、個室に虫がいなければ、また、利用したいと思うのだが…。
