ＪＲ湖西線近江高島駅より徒歩５分のところにある当店。駐車場あり。歴史の風情ただよう城下町の高島ビレッジ周辺。当店の外観は、その雰囲気に異彩を放つメルヘンチックな建物。当店は、滋賀でも珍しい天然醸造酢を製造、販売をされているのだが、地酒やこのお酢を使ったケーキ等も販売されている。店内は、イートインもできる小さなケーキ屋さん風。購入したのは、勝野シュー２１０円税込、淡海堂の酒ケーキ２２０円税込。勝野シューは、注文をきいてから、クリームを注入してくれる。とろりとしたクリームは、口当たりがなめらか。生地もクッキーのような生地でなかなか旨い。酒ケーキは、しっとりとしたカステラのようなケーキ。地酒『萩の露』の吟醸酒を使用し、ほんのりお酒の香りがするのがいい。なかなか良いお店。今度は、天然醸造酢の商品を買ってみようかな。
