私が居酒屋の師と仰ぐ、太田和彦さんおすすめのお店。2度目の訪問。
大将とお母さん二人でやっている。
生ビール、ウナギともずく酢を注文。
カウンターと小上がりの店で、小上がりには家族連れ。
ウナギは宍道湖の天然だよと教えてくれる、かぼすを搾り、わさび醤油で食べる。ウナギはカリカリ気味で骨っぽい、これが天然なのかな。
もずくは細いが、もっちりフワフワ。
店員のお母さん2人は、寡黙でおっとりした方と、おしゃべりで賑やかな方とキャラが違って見ていて飽きない。店主も交えて喧嘩越しのやりとりも面白い。
お会計はそろばんが現役の昭和の居酒屋。
カウンターには旅行者の家族や女性1人客なども座っている。
うなぎは秋が超えてうまいとか、土用のうなぎはバレンタインと同じとかいろんな話が聞こえてきて面白い。
日本酒は豊の秋をいただく。常温か熱燗だが常温でいただいた。
目の前のおでん鍋が気になり、巾着だけ注文してみる。おでんの巾着が大好きで、地方によって中身が違うのが面白い。東京だと餅が入るのが定番だが鹿児島では餅の他に野菜が入っていたりした。島根では何が入っているのか。
なんと、巾着は包丁で二つに差に切って提供された。これは初めてだ。中は何かなという楽しみが半減するが、中を改めて見てみると、にんじん、椎茸、鶏肉、小さいキノコが入っている。なんと餅は入っていない。ちなみに二つに切られると中身が溢れてしまい食べにくい。。
賑やかなおばちゃんに話を聞くとお店は60年やってるという。近々橋の掛け替えがあって店を立ち退かなきゃいけないらしい。それは残念だ。もう一回くらい来れるだろうか。
