昨年秋にオープンを知り、幾度か突撃を試みたがどうも巡り合わせが悪くて入店できなかったこのお店。本日昼前たまたま徒歩で通りかかるとOPENの札が。躊躇いなくドアを開いてカウンターに腰を下ろす。
メニューにはいくつか選択肢が載っているけれど、レイアウトはどうみてもあいがけイチ推し。グリーンカレーにも惹かれたが初めてのお店となれば推しをいただくのが良かろう。
まずはキーマとライスを一緒に口にいれる。スパイスが複雑な味わい、日本米と違うのだろう米はほろほろとライトな食感。モロッカンチキンは酸味が効いていて、パクチーの風味が良い感じ。手前の黄色いペーストは胡麻の風味が効いていて、ひよこ豆をすり潰したフムスというイスラエルの料理をアレンジしたものとのこと。ひとつひとつが複雑な味わいの三品に加えて、ピクルス、リーフと甘いパパイヤ（見た目はトマトだけど味はそうじゃなくて脳が一瞬混乱して面白かった）も添えられているから、口に運ぶ組み合わせ次第で味わいが千変万化する。まるで万華鏡のようだ。
スパイスアルケミーの店名に違わぬ一皿に大満足、ご馳走さまでした。次はグリーンカレーを試してみよう。
