When I took a tour to Izumo Taisha Shrine, I also visited this place as it was included in the course. This is Cuisine Ryokan and Auberge built on the mountain grounds of Yasugi Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and has a history of over 150 years. It's built in the mountains, so you either have to climb the stairs or take a shuttle bus to get there. My friend and I headed there by minibus. I felt a bit of a thrill as the minibus ran down a steep slope that was originally a staircase. At lunch in the hall on the second floor of Ryokan, we had a vegetarian vegetarian course. When you hear Shojin ryori, you think of something light and simple, but that's not true. Anyway, I was surprised at how many items there were. ``Unagi-modoki'' is grilled with fragrant Kabayaki sauce, and the aroma is just like Kabayaki eel. The shape was molded like Kabayaki and was well made. I had the "squid imitation" with wasabi and soy sauce, but it wasn't even konjac, and I thought the sticky texture was similar to kuzu mochi. I couldn't finish the rice, but I was full after finishing the rest! ! My friend has a slight walking disability and was grateful for the minibus, but even after getting off the bus there were still stairs without a railing, which made it difficult. I don't think people in wheelchairs can come to the store.
