I've been meaning to go to the Sanin region for a while, but I didn't have time to enjoy it at my own pace, so I packed a little into my itinerary. Since it was a three-day weekend and it looked like it would be crowded, I quickly visited Izumo Taisha Shrine, then passed by Hinomisaki Shrine and headed to Izumo Station, where I'll be staying for the night. After eating a variety of things, my final destination was Matsushima. It's a little far from the station. This time I ordered the Koizu tilefish course, but due to fishing restrictions, they said they couldn't do the full course. It's a shame, but there's nothing we can do about it. Still, I enjoyed the Koizu tilefish sashimi and the Izumo road-grilled crab, and the Izumo road-grilled crab in particular allowed me to enjoy the delicious scales. The red snow crab was also delicious - I enjoyed Izumo's specialty.
