日御碕灯台にのぼってお腹が空いてしまったので、出雲市内まで戻るのを諦め近くで出雲そばの昼食としました。割子と呼ばれる朱く丸い器に盛って重ねられたそばに、上からつゆをかけていただくのですが、そのスタイルよりも辛めのもみじおろしが上に載せられた独特の食べ方に感動！ なぜわさびで食べてきたのだろうと改めて思うほどでした。出雲ぜんざいは普通でした。
