Celebration parties at NeIL are a big hit with the girls. Surprise them with gorgeous desserts decorated with bright red candles!
Birthday surprise at NeIL!! For a special someone or friend's birthday or a special anniversary, why not have a party where you can eat, drink and have fun in a slightly more stylish way than usual? O |
I went to [b:NeIL] on Sunday to meet a friend from Shizuoka for the first time in a while. I made a reservation in advance by phone for a window seat with a good view (it's on the second floor, so the view is good). There were two reasons why I chose this restaurant today. 1. Shin-Shizuoka Station has reopened, so it was convenient for my friend who wanted to drink alcohol and go home. 2. I saw the photos Tabelog and thought the food looked good. What caught my interest was that among the positive reviews, there were 2-3 negative reviews (from 1-2 years ago), and that there had been no updates to the reviews since February of last year... (I wonder if the restaurant is still in business? I think it's okay because I was able to get through on the reservation phone number.) Even though it was a long time since we last met, I chose the place with a spirit of challenge (laugh). The location of the building is very easy to find, about 2 minutes walk south of Shin-Shizuoka Station and Shin-Shizuoka Cenova. It's on the second floor of Hotel Nishio, the building next to Pegasus. To get to the second floor, take the elevator from the north side, or the escalator from the south side. The reservation time is 11:30, the same time as the opening. The waiter came to the entrance on time and guided us to the reserved seat at the back right by the window. The interior of the restaurant has a large window and a clean feeling with a white base. When we sat down, they attached a bag rack to the table. (This is very convenient!) The menu is a single A4 size sheet of paper and two sheets of menu with details of this week's 5-item lunch plate menu. I saw the first thing I saw without thinking much about it, [b:This week's 5-item lunch plate] [i:¥1000], and I thought, ``It's cheap, isn't it? ... I'll take this.'' ``Then I'll have one too.'' So we both decided on the weekly 5-item lunch plate! (This took 1-2 minutes.) When we looked up, we made eye contact with the waiter who was standing next to us (?) and immediately completed our order. + I ordered ``[b:Apple mint cider]''. My friend ordered ``[b:White wine glass]''. Soon the drinks were brought to us. [b: Apple Mint Cider] was not too sweet, and had the scent of lime, apple, and mint. It was the perfect drink for a hot day. It was topped with plenty of finely crushed ice, which made it very refreshing and appealing. [b: Weekly 5-item lunch plate] is a plate of colorful and well-balanced dishes, mainly vegetables. This week, there were five dishes: [b: Spaghetti with small shrimp and new cabbage in tomato sauce, marinated chicken with herb fried yogurt sauce, raw vegetable salad, goyachampuru with kurumufu and vegetables, and fruit yogurt]. All of them were delicious, especially the pasta and Meat Dishes. The only drawback is that the pasta was served in a small bowl-shaped container...I'm sure it can be used for other lunch menus, but I thought it would be more atmospheric if the pasta wasn't served in a bowl. (Chopsticks were provided, so I ate it with chopsticks, but it's a bit difficult to use a fork in a bowl container?) The weekly menu seems to be updated on Wednesdays. Also, the waiter, who I was worried about (?), was very pleasant to deal with, and he was always considerate of the customers on the floor, taking orders with great skill, timing when clearing plates, and always keeping an eye on the customers on the floor... I had a pleasant time. The customers were... almost 99% women. Their ages varied from teenagers to their fifties... but everyone was having lunch or tea while chatting leisurely with friends they were comfortable with. There were also two or three couples. After the meal, there was fruit yogurt for dessert, but I wanted to eat something more, so I ordered [b: creme brûlée] as an additional order. When I arrived, I was surprised at the huge bowl, and it was my first time having a long, thin creme brûlée! I couldn't finish it by myself, so we shared it. It was very beautiful and delicious, but the layer of the surface coating [browned] was a little thick, and it felt like it was breaking when I hit it with a spoon... I would have preferred it to be a little thinner and crispier. It was a comfortable atmosphere, so we ended up chatting away and catching up on all the things we had been piling up for, calling it a day at 1:30pm. We stayed a little longer than usual during lunchtime. Overall, I think it was a pretty good experience. The other menu sets were also good value and looked delicious, and I was also happy that they had a selection of alcoholic drinks, such as "[b:Lunch Beer]" and "[b:Lunch Wine]", that you can casually drink during the day. Oh, and by the way, I had gotten a [b: Tabelog Coupon] online and brought it with me, but since the original price was so low, I forgot about it (?) and ended up not using it. (lol) Even without using the coupon, it was still a good deal! ヾ(=゚・゚=)ノニャン♪
