同僚との静岡旅行2日目の夜にお伺いしたのが、1960年5月オープンの老舗居酒屋で静岡手羽先の名店の此方。
JR静岡駅からだとバスを使わなければならず、同僚の実家近くの住宅街の中に有り、正に地元密着の居酒屋。大きな看板代わりの提灯が目印。
19時過ぎに到着。土曜日の夜にしては、人通りが少ないと感じながら来た路地ですが、店内に入るとほぼ満席状態。ワイワイガヤガヤと賑やかで、まるで何かの打上げパーティーのよう。事前予約しておいて良かった。
奥の小上がりの座席に案内。店の雰囲気は昭和レトロですが、注文は最近流行りのスマホで行うモバイルオーダー。意外です。
注文は以下の通り。
価格は全て税込みなので分かりやすい。
刺身は鰹 900円
季節的に戻り鰹でしょうか、トロリとした脂が乗って甘い。港からも近い静岡県だから刺身も美味しく感じます。
手羽先 320円/個
看板メニュー。外の皮はカリッと、中の身は柔らかくジューシー。満遍なく火の通りも良く、丁寧に作られた感じ。
鶏モモ焼き（大）650円
大振りのモモ肉で食べ応え有り。適度な脂身と塩加減。噛むとジュワーと脂が出て塩味も丁度良い。
串カツ 160円/本、はんぺん（揚物）150円/本
揚物のはんぺん? 気になり注文、食べて納得。
一般に知られている白はんぺんは、スケトウダラ等の白身魚を使用されているのに対し、静岡のはんぺんは地元で獲れやすい鯖や鰯等の赤身魚を使用。製法も違うそうで、だから黒い。食感は蒲鉾やさつま揚げに近いかも。
おでん各種
大根 100円、もつ 150円、玉子 120円、黒はんぺん 100円、しのだ巻き 150円
漬込み過ぎだろ、とツッコミたくなるような色合い。ですが出汁のしつこさは無し。しのだ巻きとは油揚げの中に野菜や魚介のすり身、豆腐等を入れたモノ。中身は黒過ぎてよく分からず。
刺身、焼物、揚物、一品料理、おでんとメニューの品数は豊富。クラフトビールも有ります。地元では何でも頂ける憩いの場であり、ご近所の情報交換の場、社交場なのでしょう。ご馳走さまでした。
